Claim Or No Claim, This Policy Is Child's Play

FOR Annie Ilett and husband Mark Henderson, taking out child-care insurance is a "no-brainer".

"We insure for everything else - health, disability - that it just make sense to cover the cost of child care as well," says Annie.

The couple's daughter, Holly, almost two, goes to child care four days a week. At $95 a day, their child-care bill is about $1600 a month. Their child-care insurance premium, through Kids Cover, is less than $100 a year. "When we looked at the cost of it we felt that even if we made a claim only once a year, it would actually cover itself," says Annie.

"Even if we don't claim, for us it's worth having just in case Holly gets sick."
